Method: Prepare in the glass
Glass: Shooter
Recipe:
  1. Pour vodka into glass.
  2. Top with a dash (or two) of red Tabasco sauce.
  3. Yes, it burns (!) but can satisfy some strange urge.

Our website here needed to have this well-known drink in the database. Even Wikipedia has a list of variations - this submitted recipe is the "plain" version. Apparently, the practice of adding hot sauce to strong liquor started as the punishment for losing a bar bet.

The reason I voted this drink so high (8) is not because I think many people will like it but, rather, because those of us who enjoy chili pepper heat will probably understand how a shot of vodka can be a good vehicle for such heat. It's interesting, I think, that I don't notice the salt or sour from the Tabasco in this drink - just the heat of capsicum!
