Gingerbread Collins

A fantastic twist on the Tom Collins. Very simple to make, just replace the traditional sugar syrup with Monin Gingerbread syrup (NOT to be confused with Ginger Syrup). Try with care, you won't want a normal Tom Collins again after trying this

[Classic] [Retro] [Simple]

Ingredients [ oz | cl ][ My Bar ]
1 23 oz Gin[ Add ]
1 dash Angostura Bitters[ Add ]
810 oz Lemon Juice[ Add ]
12 oz Monin Gingerbread Syrup[ Add ]
1 part Club Soda[ Add ]
Method: Prepare in a shaker
Glass: Highball
Recipe:
  1. In a shaker, half fill a with ice add the gin, lemon juice, syrup (NOT GINGER SYRUP) and a few drops of bitters.
  2. Shake vigoursly!
  3. Strain into glass and top with a little Soda water

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 17%

History

The only place I have ever seen make this cocktail is Fallon & Byrne in Dublin - the mixologist there is fantastic and if you are ever in Dublin, I would highly recommend a visit to the upstairs bar - if only to try their Jalepeno Margarita!
