Sidecar

A retro cocktail that served as the basis for a lot of classic cocktails.

[Aperitif] [Classic] [Happy Hour] [Retro]

Ingredients [ oz | cl ][ My Bar ]
1.5 oz Brandy[ Add ]
1 oz Cointreau[ Add ]
0.5 oz Lemon Juice[ Add ]

Method: Prepare in shaker
Glass: Cocktail

  1. Pour 1 oz to 1.5 oz of Brandy (or Cognac), Cointreau (or Triple Sec) and lemon juice into a shaker along with a few ice cubes.
  2. Shake all ingredients and pour into a cocktail glass

The exact origin of the Sidecar is unclear, but it is thought to have been invented around the end of World War I in either London or Paris.
