Created in 1996 by Tony Abou-Ganim while working in the Starlight Room atop the historic Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco. The hotel is located right on the Nob Hill Cable Car tracks and the catch phrase for the Starlight Room was “Between The Stars and the Cable Cars”.
A retro cocktail that served as the basis for a lot of classic cocktails.

Almost as good as its originator (the Sidecar) this one packs the potential of the diversity - with all the spiced rums out there, you may have it tasting very differently every time.
