Created by Fernand Pete Petoit at Harry's Ney York Bar in Paris. He named the cocktail Red Snapper when he moved to New York in 1934 since the name was thought offensive by some.
A customer asked his drink to be spiced up one day and he added Tabasco sauce. The drink became known as the Bloody Mary ever since.
Use Clamato juice instead of Tomato juice and you get a Bloody Ceasar
A variant of the Bloody Mary ordered at the Ceasar's Palace in Las Vegas by crooner Tony Bennett.
This mocktail is a take-off on the Bloody Mary.
